Course for those who have at least a pre-intermediate knowledge of English, based on a book for adult learners of the language. This year we are going to practise using vocabulary and expressions for telephoning, complaining, exclaiming (I was so scared!, It was such a shock!), and for use in social situations (Excuse me! Can I get past?, Thank you for having me). We are also going to practise using passives, the second conditional, might, the present perfect simple and continuous, and linking words (first of all, however, although). There will be a current news article to discuss at the beginning of every lesson. The main aim of the course is to develop speaking and listening.
